For $ 38,000 per night, guests can wake up in a Karl Lagerfeld-designed mega-suite called “The Grand Apartments”. The fashion icon’s vision of chic French decor blends the old and the new; from the original marble sink from the Palace of Versailles to the ultra-modern bookcase that opens with the push of a button to reveal a secret walk-in closet.

Each room in the 3,000-square-foot residence offers breathtaking views of the Paris skyline, even from the 2-ton Carrara marble bathtub.
“We had to reinforce the floor to prevent the bathtub from going down to the third floor,” explains Marc Raffray, General Manager of the Hôtel de Crillon.

The opulent oasis features three individual suites and two ballrooms, the restoration of which took years and hundreds of artisans.
“All of the hard work has been done exactly as if it had been done in the past,” Raffray says.
The vast districts are literally worthy of royalty; the former queen of France Marie-Antoinette once took piano lessons there. Two centuries later, in an adjoining ballroom, the League of Nations was created.
